Freddie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois and a Nationally Certified Counselor, who recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He also has a Bachelor’s in Counseling Psychology from Colorado Mesa University. Freddie has been immersed in the mental health field for over five years, having experience working in a university counseling center, on a mental health crisis response team, as a social/emotional learning coach for children ages 5-8, and was a primary therapist for children, teens and adults at a group practice. He also spent the last three years managing day to day operations of the food pantry at the University of Northern Colorado. 

Freddie has a deep passion for working with children and their caregivers. In his therapeutic space, Freddie facilitates sessions in a way to welcome all parts of the child to express themselves and to work alongside caregivers to enhance their relationships with their child. He believes that a strong secure attachment between children and their caregivers is a key foundation to a solidified sense of self for the child. Freddie utilizes Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) with young children and a person centered therapeutic approach with teens. Freddie feels honored to serve children and teens to support them along their stages of development. 

Outside of the therapy room, Freddie enjoys playing games, gardening, spending time with friends and family, volunteering, and going to baseball games. A Colorado native, he also enjoys being outside, and has a deep love for the mountains!
